How are Assets Mapped with Kitchn?
This article explains how asset placement works for Single Image and Video ads, and how to control which formats are used across placements.
How it works
For Single Image and Video ads, the first uploaded asset becomes the default across most placements.
If you upload a second asset, it is automatically used for Stories and Reels placements.
The Launch Sheet settings let you explicitly map uploaded assets (First, Second, Third) to specific placements.
❓ Can I change the default asset placement?
Yes! You can fully customize how assets are assigned to placements in your Launch Sheet.
⚙️ How to change asset placement
Open your Launch Sheet
Go to Settings (top right corner)
Navigate to the Advanced tab
Select Single Image or Video Ad
Here, you can configure how each asset is assigned across placements (Facebook, Instagram, and Audience Network).
🔄 How placement logic works
The First Asset is used as the default for all placements
Any placements assigned to the Second or Third Asset will be removed from the First Asset
Any placements removed from the Second or Third Asset will fall back to the First Asset
✏️ Remove text from specific placements
You can enable the option “Remove secondary text”:
This removes Primary Text from all placements assigned to the Second Asset
Commonly used for Stories and Reels placements
The removal is based on the Second Asset configuration, regardless of placement selection
Make sure the Second Asset includes all placements where you want the text to be removed.
💡 Tip
Use this feature to optimize creatives per placement - for example, removing text from vertical formats like Stories and Reels.
